Another week, another Instagram update! Instagram regularly announces updates and new features in an effort to keep users on the app and prevent them from migrating to competitor social media networks and online platform.

Here are 4 major updates coming to Instagram that you need to know about!

1 - The news feed is changing!

Instagram announced that it will be changing how content will be viewed on the news feed. This update will be very important for content planning as app users will have the option to select their favourite feed structure and accounts going forward.

2 - Rearrange the order of grid posts.

Very soon, users will be able to rearrange the existing posts on their grid by simply editing the order in which they appear. This will be very useful for pulling relevant or evergreen content to the top of the grid at any time and take control of the grid aesthetic, even after posting.

3 - Add reminders to grid posts.

App users can now add reminders to their grid posts - a feature which was previously only available on stories. This will be a very useful feature to promote events, Instagram Lives, webinars and more.

4 - Subscriptions are coming for creators.

Instagram revealed that it is testing subscriptions with select creators in the US. A subscription button will be added to the profile and creators will have the opportunity to set a monthly price of their choice, offering private content and a range of benefits to an exclusive audience such as Subscriber Stories, Lives and Badges.
